    • Affordable oil has been ending at the slow pace of geology since US Peak Oil in 1970.
    • Thomas Edison, 1910: “Sunshine is spread out thin and so is electricity. Perhaps they are the same, Sunshine is a form of energy, and the winds and the tides are manifestations of energy… Do we use them? Oh, no! We burn up wood and coal, as renters burn up the front fence for fuel. We live like squatters, not as if we owned the property…. There must surely come a time when heat and power will be stored in unlimited quantities in every community, all gathered by natural forces. Electricity ought to be as cheap as oxygen….”
  • JPods was created to "secure the Blessings of Liberty" by inventing on-demand mobility regardless of age, ability, or wealth powered within  a solar budget.

The What of JPods:

  • Veterans founded JPods to address our oath to the Constitution.
  • To "provide for the common defence" to "secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity".
    • Foreign oil addiction.
    • Oil-dollar funded terrorism.
    • Oil-wars since 1991.
    • $35 trillion Federal debt increasing in tandem with oil imports and oil wars.
    • US Peak Oil in 1970.
    • Climate Change
  • To correct the direct threats to liberty and security of unconstitutional Federal highways.
    • The Boston Tea Party was a demonstration against the general government's transport monopoly that triggered a war.
    • The Constitutional Convention voted 8 states to 3 to prevent rebuilding the path to war of mercantile monopolies, mixing Federal war-powers with commercial self-interests:
      • States are sovereign over "internal improvements".
      • Federal powers are limited delivering letters via "post Roads" if no other roads exist with "No Preference " in the facilities of commerce of one state over another.
      • Federal powers are restricted to only "promote the general welfare".
      • We the People and our liberty are sovereigns over and the source of the general welfare. Two aspects of liberty intertwine in a Darwinian crucible to innovate and provide the general welfare:
        • Tolerance of Disruptive Minorities offering choices.
        • Tolerance of the Wisdom on the Many sorting those choices in free markets and free speech.
    • Federalist #45 explained the 8 to 3 vote to get the Constitution ratified.
    • Madison explained the 8 to 3 vote in Congress in 1792.
    • 21 Presidential veto messages were issued enforcing that states are sovereign over "internal improvements" until The Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1916 began systematic violations.
    • Because of the repeated efforts by Henry Clay and other powerful congressmen to tax all Americans for pork highway projects, the Confederate Constitution moved the "post Roads" and "No Preference" clauses into their version of the Commerce Clause.
    • Bragdon Committee documented the harms of the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956 in between 1957-1959.

How of JPods:

  • Start small, iterate relentlessly.
  • Drive decisions by metrics.
  • Privately funded construction to bypass political favors.
  • Grade-separate the networks to remove complexity and the repetitive application of power required in start-stop traffic.
  • Suspend the vehicles to remove 75% of the Parasitic Mass (vehicle mass that is not payload).
  • Use the structure of the guideways to deploy the solar collectors to power the networks so JPods are durable.
  • Integrate microgrids into the networks for durability.
  • Get governments to adopt the 5x5Solar standards as a path to obey Constitutions that require free markets. The barrier to building networks such as JPods are Government "institutional failures" cited by Congressional Study PB-255854, "Automated Guideway Transit", 1975.
  • Degree of difficulty is indicated by 10 of the last 10 US Presidents issued unanswered calls to action to end foreign oil addiction and oil-wars since 1991.
